Indigo Jo’s Story
Since moving to Devon, I’m in love with the place, so is my daughter and it’s mostly her that has driven me to set up Indigo Jo. We spend far more time than is necessary collecting shells on the beach and that’s where my inspiration comes from.
I still get excited when I find a near perfect, little pointy, twisted shell on the beach, like it’s just magic and all I can think is that these shells are made to be seen, to be worn… they are so perfect, even with damage and flaws.
I’ve seen many high tides, so I know the strength of them, yet these little shells withstand all the force of the sea and the weather, they deserve some admiration.
So here is my collection, born out of a new found love of the sea and the beach. For me, jewellery is all about how it makes you feel - not just when you pick it up but what you experience when you wear it. Personally, I wish for feminity, girlyness, but also stylishness and like I know who I am and where I’m going, sometimes at least.
I hope you feel the same if you buy a piece, that little slice of beach babe in us all, and a remembrance of our love for the sea, the sand and all the weather that gets thrown at us, amongst many other things in life.
